Glenna's at that really fun age where kids make the funniest facial expressions, but they certainly make you work for the photos. My philosophy is to just follow them around and click away. Sometimes they will sit and pose for you and that's cool too. But if they don't, I don't worry about it.
As you can see, I really like to play with effects. For me, it's an artistic thing. Hopefully it helps sets me apart as a photographer.
Enjoy these fun shots of Glenna!

Another Teaser for Sara and Chad
I couldn't resist one more sneak peek before I finish working on their gallery. I love, love, love shots of kids with their dads. That's such a special relationship....
even if they are hiding from my camera. :)

Sneak Peek for the C Family │Ottawa Kansas Photographer
This was the kind of photoshoot I dream of. "Let's just let the girls play," their mom says to me over the phone. And it's true, girls just want to have fun. I think they had a blast.
Here are just the first few of my favorites from this shoot.
You can't, in my opinion, have fun without bubbles.
I think they agreed.
These sisters were opposites as far as their reaction to the camera. This one was a spunky one ready to cheese it up on command.
And this one hid from me at first. But that's ok, she warmed up to me after awhile and we got some really honest, real shots. My favorite kind.
Thank you Sara, for allowing me to photograph your beautiful girls. I really had a lot of fun!

More Favorites From Amy's Session │Ottawa Kansas Photographer
I have lots of favorites from this session. My most favorite shots of kids are when they are not smiling. I love all the goofy faces they can make. It's so real and honest and makes a great photo. You should have seen the relief on this dad's face when I said I didn't want any cheesy smiles; that he didn't even have to smile if he didn't want to. He looked like the weight of the world had been lifted off his shoulders.

Sneak Peek for Amy! │Ottawa Kansas Photographer
I'm so excited to finally be working on Amy and Anthony's photos! We've been planning their shoot for awhile and thankfully, the weather cooperated this morning.
These are just the first few I've been working on.
I'm sure I'll have more to share later. Once we finally got their daughter to hold still for 2 seconds, she really gave me some great shots!
Thanks Amy and Anthony for a fun morning!

Baby B. │Ottawa Kansas Photographer
This little guy wasn't sure he liked my camera at first. But after awhile he forgot about me and enjoyed some treats outside.
Towards the end, he was giving us some great facial expressions. Thanks for letting me photograph him, Lacey!
