I remember the first time I saw Erik on stage. It was Guys and Dolls, and I had never seen anyone (in person) that could act like that. High school drama is usually fun and entertaining, but I was floored by this guy's talent.

Imagine my surprise when I found him online, doing the very thing he set out to do: act. And making a living at it. I love it when people can do what they love.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, and thanks again to the internet, he contacted me to do some headshots before he headed back to New York. I was floored once again. And honored.

It was great to see him again after 15 years. Here's a little sneak peek of our session.

Storyboards!

Let's say you have several favorites from a session and really want to group them together. A great solution would be a storyboard. This is something new that I'm starting to offer. Here are a few examples I worked up from a recent session with these super fun girls.

Storyboards can feature short quotes and the sky is the limit as far as colors and design. It's up to you!

Right now I'm offering storyboards in 16x20 and 11x14 sizes; standard prints or in a 3/4 standout, which is a hard mounted board that makes a frame unnecessary.

Trip to Middle Earth │Ottawa Kansas Photographer

I really love Lord of the Rings. I've read the books twice and seen the movies so many times, my husband makes fun of me. So when I got the call that this young lady wanted to do her senior portraits dressed as an elf from Middle Earth, you know I got giddy with excitement. I've always wanted to do a costume photoshoot and after this, I definitely want to do more!

I was thinking on the drive home from the session that I have been incredibly blessed thus far with the people I've been allowed to photograph. Not only have they embraced my creativity, but have brought their own to the table. I love this job!

I will most definitely be posting some other sneak peeks from this session as I work on them.
